Aboriginal people in Canada are increasingly urbanized with more than half living in urban centres. Despite this growing trend, the health of Aboriginal peoples residing in urban areas in not well known. A new NCCAH report examines Canada’s demographically and culturally diverse urban Aboriginal population with specific reference to determinants of health, health outcomes, the provision of health services, and key considerations for policy and program development and practice.
