Financial assistance to develop the production, processing and marketing of Nordic biofood products
The financial measure, whose mission is to develop the production, processing and marketing of northern biofood products, is back! It is offered as part of the financial agreement between MAPAQ and the Société du Plan Nord, in response to action 2.1.7 of the Plan d’action nordique 2023-2028.
Projects can be submitted continuously until October 31, 2027. Projects cannot be extended beyond March 1, 2028. To find out more, click here. (French only)

Canada’s Volunteer Awards – Call for Nominations 2025
It is time to nominate an outstanding individual, a not-for-profit organization, a social enterprise, or a socially responsible business who has made a significant contribution in improving the lives of others in their community through volunteering. Help them get the recognition they deserve. The nomination period is officially open and will run until May 8, 2025. Submit a nomination.
Call for sexual and domestic violence awareness projects 2025-2026
This call for projects addresses the issues of sexual and domestic violence. The Secrétariat à la condition féminine (SCF) wishes to mobilize the expertise of organizations working in the field in order to strengthen the awareness-raising efforts led, notably by the Quebec government, in these areas. Eligible applicants have until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025 to submit a project. Submit an application.
Call for Indigenous Foodways in school scholarships now open
These scholarships will provide financial support to school communities across Canada and their long-term visions for Indigenous food security and sovereignty in the school context. Submit an application.
Call for Proposals for projects aimed at preventing and addressing child maltreatment
The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is inviting eligible organizations to submit applications for funding for projects that prevent and address child maltreatment. The deadline to submit a completed proposal is May 28, 2025, 11:59 pm Pacific Time. Learn more.
An information session will take place on March 26, 2025 at 12:00 PM EST. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in both English and French. Registration.

Guaranteed Income Supplement renewal period
Each year in July, thousands of seniors stop receiving their Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) payments. To avoid this, you must file your tax return by April 30. The GIS is a monthly non-taxable benefit paid to low-income seniors who receive Old Age Security (OAS). Learn more.
