Diabetic retinopathy is a frequent and serious complication of diabetes that can lead to blindness if not detected and treated in a timely manner. The program aims to enable early detection of the disease directly within First Nations communities by staff working on site. Thanks to certified annual training, professionals can organize and run autonomous screening clinics.
Comprehensive and continuously updated documentation is made available to support professionals with their practice and the screening clinics.
