This nutrition toolkit was designed to promote healthful eating among children and families and reduce the risk of such diseases as diabetes. It contains menu calendars, a cookbook and a handbook a practical advice. The calendars are divided into four sections representing the four seasons. Each season contains four weeks of menus based on the eating habits and food supply within the four regions, which are symbolized by the four directions: North, South, East and West. The cookbook contains a hundred recipes developed according to food habits, food availability and regions. The practical handbook offers suggestions on how to use the menus, calculate portions and adjust recipes, purchase food, and practise good hygiene and safety.
