The framework program OPTRA First Nations has been designed for workers in the field of school and vocational counseling and employability to help unemployed people to enter or re-enter the labor market. The program provides a support for people who are furthest from the labor market and aims to ensure that participants reach a level of self-employment. It promotes personal development (self-knowledge, professional interests, abilities and personality traits) and career development (educational training programs and knowledge of the labor market) of participants.
