The governance project aims to help improve the supply and accessibility of local and regional health services by implementing a governance model adapted to the realities and needs of Quebec’s First Nations. In practical terms, the project is built around three components. The first component includes information gathering and research. It aims to support First Nations communities and organizations in their reflection. The second component centers on consultation, coordination and experience sharing to allow local leaders to participate in the reflection process and help generate options for First Nations health models acceptable to everyone. The third component covers communications, project monitoring and evaluation.
